Accompanist   Jill Roth

Masterworks Chorale accompanist Jill Roth began studying piano at age five with Alma Schick, then later with Helen Blanchard, with whom she studied until entering the University of Michigan in 1969. In 1989, Jill received a Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toledo, and in 1991, a dual Masters degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance form the University of Michigan.

Jill became an accompanist at an early age, and has been a church pianist or organist since high school. Currently she serves as the organist and part-time choir director at St. Paul's Episcopal Church in Oregon. Jill enjoys accompanying area music groups and musicians, and has played keyboards with the Toledo Symphony.

Jill works part-time at an area credit union. After hours, she enjoys reading and spending time with her daughters and grandchildren, and with her cat, Babe Roth. This is Jill's seventh year as Masterworks Chorale accompanist.
