Jill Roth Boessel
Masterworks Chorale accompanist Jill Roth Boessel began studying piano at age
five with Elma Schick, then later with Helen Blanchard, with whom she studied
until entering the University of Michigan in 1969. In 1989 Jill received a
Bachelor of Music degree from the University of Toledo and in 1991 a dual
Master's degree in Piano Pedagogy and Performance from the University of
Michigan .
Jill became an accompanist at an early age and has been a church
pianist or organist since high school. Currently she serves as the organist and
part-time choir director at St. Paul 's Episcopal Church in Oregon. Jill
enjoys accompanying area music groups and musicians and has played keyboards
with the Toledo Symphony. She works part-time at an area credit union. After
hours, she enjoys spending time with her new husband, Cliff Boessel, and her
daughters and grandchildren.
This is Jill's eighth year as Masterworks Chorale
accompanist.
